I first noticed the paint peeling problem toward the end of the first year of use, but at that time I thought it might be related to my own use or external factors, so I did not immediately contact the authorized dealer. After conducting further research, I learned that this is in fact a chronic, manufacturing-related problem and then applied to the authorized service.

On October 8, 2025, I delivered my vehicle to Odak Opel Authorized Service due to this issue. Following inspections carried out by the authorized service and Opel headquarters, I was informed that this problem is a chronic, manufacturing-related defect and that a payment of approximately $2,070 USD would be made as compensation. I was told that, for this payment to be processed, a waiver document was required.

This document was delivered to the authorized service on January 12, 2026, and I personally visited the dealership on January 14, 2026 to sign it. At that time, I was informed that the payment would be deposited into my account within approximately 30 days. Later, during my communications with the authorized service and Opel, I was told that this period could extend to 30–45 days, which has created significant uncertainty and inconvenience for me.

I have also been informed that if I sell my vehicle before the payment is made, the agreed compensation amount will not be paid. In the meantime, I have a ready buyer for my vehicle and I am in the process of purchasing a new car, but due to the delay in the promised payment, I am unable to sell my current vehicle, I cannot proceed with the purchase of a new vehicle, and my car continues to lose value every day.

This situation, which arises entirely from Opel’s delay, places me at a clear financial disadvantage and I find it unacceptable. Despite acting in good faith and showing patience throughout this process out of trust in the Opel brand, the ongoing delay has caused me both material and moral distress.

Therefore, I respectfully request that the promised payment of approximately $2,070 USD be transferred to my account immediately, that any financial loss and depreciation caused by this delay be formally addressed and secured in writing, and that I be provided with a clear written explanation regarding the reason for this delay.
