Nissan Authorized Service Damaged My Car After Routine Maintenance
On 05/21/2026, I had my vehicle’s routine maintenance performed at the Bursa Sertepe Nissan Authorized Service Center. I delivered my vehicle to the service center in proper working condition, with no warning lights or fault indicators showing. After the maintenance was completed, I was told that everything was fine and the vehicle was returned to me. Shortly after leaving the service center, I heard a noise coming from underneath the vehicle, and when I pulled over to check, I saw that the engine underbody protection had broken apart and was dragging on the ground. I immediately reported the situation to the service center in writing on the same day. The next day, I was contacted and informed that the engine underbody protection had already been broken when the vehicle arrived at the service center, that they had forgotten to inform me about it, and that if I wanted, they could order a new part for approximately $270, but that there was nothing else they could do. However, at no point—either when my vehicle was received by the service center or when it was returned to me—was I informed of any issue with the underbody protection. Despite this, the attempt to shift all responsibility onto me and offer only a paid replacement as a solution is unacceptable. After paying $750 for maintenance, my vehicle, which I had been using without any issues, was returned to me with its engine underbody protection rendered unusable. I request that this inconvenience be resolved by replacing the damaged underbody protection free of charge or by providing an equivalent form of compensation.
