Brand New Nike Kids' Sneakers Have Faulty Straps

The Nike sneakers I purchased for my child malfunctioned after only a few uses. The front straps are no longer effective, which is making it challenging for my child to walk. The straps easily come undone after just a couple of steps, resulting in numerous falls.
I purchased them from FLO and had them inspected at the Rize FLO store, but unfortunately, the outcome was not favorable. Why wouldn't faulty front straps be seen as a manufacturing defect? What kind of mistake could we have made as users? I kindly request a full refund for this product.
