On July 17, 2024, I ordered Marshall water-based panel door paint from the “Migyapı” store on N11 with Order Code: 202483972634. Despite there being 108 available colors, the store's sales page did not include a color catalog (see Image 1). To choose the color, I had to research other websites and decided on "Zeytin Dalı" in "Yeşilimsi" (Greenish) shade.

The paint arrived very thick and some colors had settled at the bottom of the can (see Image 3). To test it, I diluted about 200-250 grams of the paint with water in a separate container. As seen in the images (see Image 4), the result was a color I didn’t expect. After applying one coat to a glass balcony door, the color turned out to be grey (see Image 5) rather than the greenish tone I anticipated. It looks more like a primer used for iron profiles or institutional doors, not the vibrant green I was expecting.

I didn't want to see such an unpleasant color on my doors for years, so I requested a return. I wrapped the paint in tape and foam, placed it in a cardboard box, and personally delivered it to the courier for return. However, the store rejected the return, claiming that the packaging was damaged (which should have prevented the courier from accepting it if true) and that the paint was used (I only used a small amount to test the color). They also suggested that I should have been able to assess the color without mixing it, which is unrealistic since the paint appeared green initially (see Image 3) and I needed to test it to confirm the color.

I paid 699 ₺ for this paint, and I find it unacceptable that I have been left with a color I absolutely dislike due to a potential error in the color preparation or an incorrect shade being sent to me. The reasons given by the store for rejecting the return are unreasonable and nonsensical. I expect N11 to ensure that stores provide color catalogs for such products and to address my issue by arranging some form of compensation.
