MoneyGram Didn’t Inform Me About the $800 Limit and I Still Can’t Access My Funds

September 27, 2024 9:39 AM144

I had a bad experience with MoneyGram recently. I attempted to accept a $1,000 transfer, but there was no indication that there was a restriction. After spent several hours visiting several collection stations, I learned that MoneyGram does not allow more than $800 to be collected in a single transaction. This was not mentioned to me or the sender. When I called customer support, they were useless and indicated there was nothing they could do to fix the problem. It's been nearly a week and I still haven't received my money. I've used Western Union before and have never had this type of trouble. I strongly advise against using MoneyGram.
