My 2024 MG ZS Luxury Plus is currently at 19,000 km and is under maintenance at the authorized service center Samsun Asal Otomotiv. Four days ago, while driving, I noticed a constant whistling (squealing) sound — it stops when I apply the brakes. When my vehicle was at 11,300 km, I had brought it in for unscheduled maintenance (before the regular service interval) and the paperwork showed that the brakes had been checked. At that time, I was not informed of any problems or warned about brake pad or rotor wear.
Now that the vehicle is at 19,000 km, the service center told me that my front brake pads are worn out, and that the rotors are scored — both pads and rotors allegedly need replacement. They quoted me a quote of 18,000 TL for the replacement. I maintain that I have always driven carefully, using engine braking on hills and avoiding aggressive braking, and had my inspection done only 4,000 km ago — at which point no wear was detected. I believe the brakes were never properly checked or replaced then, and this negligence has endangered my safety and that of my family.
Since my car is still under warranty, I insist that the brake pads and rotors be replaced free of charge under warranty, without any cost to me. If my request is not honored, I will pursue both financial and moral damages. Vehicle: MG ZS 2024 Luxury Plus — License plate: ** AOH 194. Despite contacting customer service repeatedly, I have received no satisfactory response. I expect an urgent resolution to this matter.
