I purchased my MG HS, a 2024 model vehicle, in 2023. About three months after purchasing the car, the interior leather trim on all doors except the driver’s seat began to bubble and later tear. Even though this issue occurred while the vehicle was still under warranty, and it is clear that this problem is related to sun exposure and is completely unacceptable under normal use, my claim has consistently been rejected by labeling it as “user error.”
I purchased the vehicle from the authorized dealer in Kayseri, but the rejection decisions have been issued by MG Doğan Service. To date, I have applied to the service center four to five times. Each time, I was repeatedly asked to provide videos, then called in for inspections, and each time the result was the same: the issue was blamed on user error. On one occasion, they even deliberately left the vehicle parked under the sun for an entire day, yet they still ignored the fact that this is clearly a manufacturing or material defect.
As a result of all these events, despite having an official service record under case number 37640, my grievance has still not been resolved. Since this defect appeared while my vehicle was under warranty, I request that the interior door panels be replaced free of charge and without any issues under warranty coverage. I want to clearly state that I am disturbed by this defect being classified as user error, and I demand that my situation be resolved as soon as possible.
