Lufthansa Sold Me a Ticket but Forced Me to Fly Discovery and Pay Excess Baggage Fees

What I thought would be a Lufthansa flight turned out to be a huge disappointment. I bought my ticket under the Lufthansa brand, only to find out I was actually flying with Discovery—a completely different experience, and not in a good way.

From the moment I arrived at the gate, it was all about money. They had staff at the boarding area with a scale, weighing every piece of hand luggage down to the gram. And if you’re even slightly over, they charge you outrageous fees—three times the price of the ticket in some cases.

The crew was unfriendly, with faces that looked like they couldn’t care less. The service was poor, the communication was cold, and the flight was so uncomfortable I wouldn’t even want to use the bathroom. Turkish airlines put this to shame.

I feel misled. I bought a Lufthansa ticket expecting quality, not a no-frills airline out to nickel-and-dime passengers for every gram of luggage. Lufthansa, if you're going to outsource flights, at least ensure the experience matches your brand. I demand a refund for the excessive fees and an explanation for the bait-and-switch tactics.
