My New Lenovo Laptop Keys Broke Warranty Denied

June 14, 2025 12:15 PM48

I am absolutely furious and feel completely ripped off by Lenovo and the store where I purchased my new laptop! I bought my Lenovo laptop just 3-4 weeks ago, and already, critical keys like the Spacebar, C, V, and Alt keys are broken. The Alt key, in particular, is stuck inward when pressed, making it impossible to use properly.

I immediately contacted the store where I bought it, expecting a quick warranty repair for a brand-new device. Instead, I was shockingly told that this issue is not covered under warranty and that even if I sent it in, it likely wouldn't be fixed. To add insult to injury, they quoted me ₺3,000-₺4,000 for a new keyboard!

This is completely unacceptable. A brand-new laptop should not have keys failing within weeks of purchase, especially when I'm still paying installments on it! This is a clear manufacturing defect, and both Lenovo and the retailer are trying to evade responsibility. I demand a solution. Lenovo, you need to honor your warranty and repair or replace my laptop's keyboard at no cost. I shouldn't be saddled with thousands of lira in repair costs for a defective product that's barely out of the box!
