JD Sports Claimed My Trainers Were Not In Stock but Delivered Them Late

Ordering from JD Sports, I paid extra for next-day delivery and selected a pair of trainers described as 'in stock'. When my order arrived late, though, I called customer support only to be told the item was truly out of stock. They said they were sorry and promised a refund in five days, therefore depriving me of the critically required goods. Angry, I bought a like pair from another retailer believing JD Sports had called off the order. Three days later, my initial JD Sports order unexpectedly arrived up! I now had two pairs, paid the extra delivery cost, and was let down by the inadequate correspondence. Regarding consistent service or accurate stock information, I would not rely on JD Sports once more. This encounter has left a negative mark, hence I will be buying elsewhere starting now.
