On February 15, 2025, I purchased a brand-new iPhone 16 from MediaMarkt. However, the charging cable inside the box was defective—it does not charge the phone at all, even when using original Apple adapters. The phone only charges with a different cable, meaning the one included in the box was faulty from the start.
When I contacted Apple support, they directed me to an authorized service center. Then, I went back to MediaMarkt, and they told me the same thing. I visited the Başarı Apple Authorized Service in Şirinevler, where I had to fill out a form and was told to wait several days for a resolution.
So now, because of Apple’s faulty product, I have to:
Visit MediaMarkt
Visit an authorized service center
Wait for the replacement to arrive
Go back to pick it up
Meanwhile, I cannot use the original charger for a device I just purchased. And let’s not forget the time and money wasted on transportation. Apple, this is unacceptable! A defective cable should be replaced immediately without this much hassle. I expect a solution now!
