We took our under-warranty iPhone 13 to the Apple Store in Zorlu AVM because the sound coming from the speaker was noticeably low. They told us that the speaker was clogged due to dirt buildup, that they couldn’t clean it completely, and therefore it would require a paid replacement, quoting a price of ₺20,000 for a single speaker. While the iPhone 13 is marketed as water- and dust-resistant, they claimed the issue was caused by dust accumulation and that we were responsible for cleaning it. If we had intervened ourselves and caused damage, they would have blamed us for user error. How are we supposed to prevent dust, or do they think we intentionally put dust inside the phone? How can this be considered user error? Apple is no longer the Apple it used to be and no longer stands behind its products. Even though our phone is under warranty, they offered no solution and demanded an outrageous fee instead. I will escalate this issue to the Consumer Arbitration Committee. I’ve lost trust in Apple, and I will make sure others are aware of this as well.
