InShot muted my video due to music, how can I avoid copyright issues inside the app?

InShot mutes videos when copyrighted music is detected, usually after export or during sharing, because platforms apply automatic copyright filters even if the app allows the audio.

To avoid this, creators use royalty-free music from InShot’s built-in library or trusted external sources that clearly state commercial and social media usage rights.

Another safe option is uploading original audio or music you personally own the rights to, rather than tracks taken from streaming platforms or other videos. Even short clips of popular songs can trigger muting once the video is uploaded.

Creators also export videos without music and add audio directly inside TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube, since platform-native music is licensed for use there. This prevents copyright claims while keeping the video audio intact.
