Honda City Door Hinge Failure Not Covered Under Warranty
A malfunction occurred in the right rear door hinge of my 2023 Honda City. I noticed this issue when the vehicle had approximately 51,000 kilometers on it and applied to an authorized service center to have it evaluated under warranty.
I took my car to the Haldız Honda authorized service center in İzmit, Kocaeli. I explained that the door hinge was faulty, that such a part should not fail under normal use without user error, and that it should be replaced under warranty. However, I was simply told that it was “not covered under warranty,” without any technical explanation or justification, and the hinge replacement was denied.
I believe this issue may be due to a manufacturing defect, as it is not normal for a door hinge to fail on such a new, low-mileage vehicle. I request that the right rear door hinge be evaluated under warranty, replaced with a new one, and that I be provided with a clear and detailed written explanation.
