Honda Authorized Service Ignores Factory LPG Leak and Puts Family’s Safety at Risk
On 11/26/2025, I left my Honda Civic Eco Elegance (factory-installed LPG) with license plate 06*80** at the Honda Toros authorized service center in Konya for routine maintenance. What happened at an authorized service center of a global brand like Honda—on a vehicle that left the factory with an original Honda LPG system—is a complete scandal involving inconsistent documentation.
1. A “life-threatening” contradiction in the documents (caught red-handed):
In the internal system record entered by the service technician—the job order closure form (Appendix 1)—it is clearly stated that “there are coolant leaks in the vehicle’s LPG water hoses.” However, in the inspection/price quotation report (Appendix 2) that was presented to me for approval and lists the required repairs, items such as brake pads and ball joints are included, yet this critical coolant leak warning—which could cause engine failure—is completely omitted.
2. The excuse of “we don’t service factory-installed systems”:
After noticing this contradiction, I clearly stated that I would pay whatever it cost and asked them to repair the vehicle, but despite the fact that the LPG system is factory-installed and original Honda equipment, my request was rejected with the excuse that “we don’t work on LPG systems.”
An authorized service center cannot refuse to service an original system that it sells itself. Even though I insisted a second time due to the serious safety risk, the vehicle was returned to me without any repair, exposing me to a major danger. Shortly after leaving the service center, the vehicle lost its coolant, and I narrowly avoided being stranded on the road with my family.
3. Outcome and legal process:
Stating “there is a leak” in one document while omitting this information from the main list that the customer is asked to sign is a clear case of misleading the consumer and defective service. Due to both this negligence and the attitude I faced when questioning it, a criminal investigation has been initiated against the service manager at the Konya Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office (Investigation No: 2025/88*6).
You cannot endanger lives and then avoid responsibility by saying “we don’t service it” on a factory-installed vehicle. The matter is now entirely in the hands of Honda Global.
