I booked a quad room at Midan Hotel for Umrah through HalalBooking.com, and when doing so, I paid for breakfast and dinner for 4 people (half-board).
Even though I had already paid Midan Hotel for the meals via HalalBooking, I still emailed HalalBooking to double-check the meal inclusion—just in case. I was told there was a system error and that I’m expected to pay for the meals again.
Half-board means breakfast and dinner—and in Ramadan, that’s suhoor and iftar. I already paid for 4 people!
How can HalalBooking expect me to pay Midan Hotel again—95 riyal per person, per meal? Then what did I pay half-board for? You’re saying 95 riyal is about $24 a day? Are you kidding me? I was told I’d only get my money back if I eat dinner at Midan Hotel and pay about $95 per person per meal, and then show the receipt. Are you serious?
I paid for the meals as part of the total price! My invoice clearly says “half-board.”
I booked this hotel through HalalBooking on February 16, and I reached out to HalalBooking on my own just to be safe. If I hadn’t emailed, I wouldn’t even know about this. If there’s a system error, why am I being harmed and why wasn’t I informed? Half-board means breakfast and dinner. I booked my hotel based on that. You can’t treat me this way.
