Google Ads does not take sufficient measures to prevent fraudulent clicks, causing many advertisers, including myself, to lose money unfairly. Google has the ability to detect and block fake clicks in its AdSense program, where users earn money, yet it fails to apply the same level of protection to Google Ads, where it profits directly.
By implementing features like ASN and device-based tracking, Google could significantly reduce invalid clicks, but instead, it appears to ignore the issue. In my case, my click-through rate (CTR), which normally averages 5-7% by the end of the day, suddenly skyrockets within 15 minutes—a clear sign of fraudulent activity. However, Google does nothing and continues to profit from these fake clicks.
If you are experiencing the same issue, I recommend filing a chargeback with your bank. Research suggests that Google generates massive revenue globally from these fraudulent clicks, leading to unfair financial losses for advertisers.
