I Received My Global Blue Tax Refund in USD Instead of Euro and Can't Reach Support
Hello. I’m extremely disappointed with Global Blue’s handling of my tax refund. After making a purchase that was clearly invoiced in euros, my tax-free refund was calculated as €74 at Berlin Airport. However, when I checked the mobile service, it showed that the refund would be paid out in $75 USD instead. This is completely unacceptable. I paid in euros, and I expect to receive my refund in euros — not in dollars based on a questionable conversion rate that benefits no one but the company.
I tried reaching out to customer service multiple times, but instead of real help, I keep getting automated messages that go in circles and don’t solve anything. There’s no transparency, no accountability, and no real support for international travelers trying to reclaim their rightful refunds.
Global Blue needs to process my refund in euros, as originally stated and agreed. This careless handling erodes all trust. Fix this now, or I will escalate further.
