Global Blue Tax Refund Sent to the Wrong Credit Card
During my trip to Milan, Italy, on 14 September 2026, I made a purchase and used Golden Blue’s tax free service. Later on, I discovered that the tax refund, in the amount of EUR 1,305.00, was credited to a different credit card that does not belong to me. Through the Global Blue system, I can see that the refund process for this purchase (Loro Piana, 6,973.55 BRL equivalent) is shown as completed, but the money never reached my own card. This clearly indicates that the refund was processed to the wrong card. I contacted you about this issue but did not receive any answer, and my problem is still unresolved. I request that you urgently investigate to which card the refund was sent, cancel or correct this operation if necessary, and immediately transfer the EUR 1,305.00 tax refund to my correct credit card. I also expect written confirmation once this correction has been made.
I emailed Global Blue with all the tax free purchase forms that shows the "pay to credit card as below" field was not filled out with any information. It is very likely that the wrong credit card number was registered by the global blue store attendant at the Linate (LIN) airport (which tried to pay me in cash 50% of what was due which was rejected by me) or someone with access to Global Blue payment system on purpose. I kindly ask Global Blue to look into it and make the credit to my credit card.
Kudos to Global Blue! Great customer service! Problem solved!
