Global Blue Charged €643.71 After I Completed My Tax Free Process

8

On August 19, 2026, I received an early cash refund of €434 from a Global Blue office for tax-free form number ıta12033032754816568302 related to a purchase I made at the Burberry store in Rome. I provided my VakıfBank credit card as security for the refund.

On August 30, 2026, I left the European Union through Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. I had my Italian tax-free form manually stamped by a customs officer and then placed it in Global Blue’s mailbox at the airport. On the same day, I also had my other tax-free forms successfully validated at a PABLO kiosk, and I have photographs documenting these transactions. I completed the entire process in accordance with Global Blue’s instructions, within the required 21-day period and in compliance with the applicable procedures.

Despite this, on October 6, 2026, my credit card was charged €643.71 by Globalblue.com, equivalent to $725.46, in a single transaction. This amount is even higher than the €434 tax-free refund I originally received, and I was given no explanation for the charge. Global Blue’s own terms clearly state that if the form is subsequently received or located, the security amount should be refunded to the card. In addition, Global Blue’s contact form and web chat channels are not working, leaving me unable to find another way to contact the company.

I request that my tax-free form be located, that the full €643.71 ($725.46) charged to my VakıfBank credit card by Globalblue.com be refunded without further delay, and that I receive a written and detailed explanation of why this amount was charged and why it exceeds the original €434 refund. I have my flight ticket proving my departure from the EU, my e-Government entry record, photographs of the procedures I completed at the airport, and the relevant credit card statement available as supporting evidence if required.
