Request for Refund After Unauthorized GitHub Charge

At around 4:00 AM on January 24, a charge of $49 was made to my Garanti Bonus credit card under the name “GitHub Inc.” through a POS transaction, without my knowledge or authorization. I do not use GitHub, GitHub Copilot, any corporate accounts, private repositories, or any similar services or subscriptions. Therefore, this unauthorized charge to my card is completely unacceptable.

As soon as I noticed the transaction, I contacted my bank. My card was canceled for security reasons, and I was advised to report the transaction under suspicious activity. I also saw that there had been previous POS charge attempts under the name GitHub Inc., which has caused me both financial concern and emotional distress.

I request that GitHub Inc. immediately cancel and refund the unauthorized $49 charge and conduct all necessary checks to ensure that my card information is completely removed from your systems. Otherwise, I will pursue legal action regarding these unauthorized transactions and attempts.
