Gemini Keeps Saying "I Can't Help" Even for Basic Conversation
While using the Gemini app on its own mobile application today, between 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., I started running into a recurring problem. Even when I typed a very simple, everyday message into the app during a chat — for example, a casual phrase like "what's up" — I kept getting the same response every time: "I'm unable to help you. As a language model, I don't have the information needed to process your request." I'm logged in and signed in with my Google account, and within the same chat, I've been getting this exact same response for every message I've sent since that time window. Wanting to use the app for normal conversation and to ask questions, but getting no real response at all, has made the experience completely unusable. I'm requesting that this bug be identified and fixed as soon as possible, and that the app be restored to responding normally to everyday, simple messages.
