FreeStyle Libre Sensor Malfunctions Lead to Lost Consumer Board Dispute
In March 2026, I purchased two LibreLink sensors online for 6,200 TRY. After applying the first sensor to my arm, it functioned properly for about three days before suddenly failing and ceasing to take readings altogether. I contacted customer service regarding this, but no resolution was offered, and they failed to assist me.
Subsequently, I applied the second sensor, which failed to work entirely right from the moment it was initialized. When I called customer service once again, I received no support, and the issue remained unaddressed. With my frustration unresolved for both sensors, I submitted a formal application to the Consumer Arbitration Committee.
During the Consumer Arbitration Committee proceedings, the company claimed in their defense that they could not assist because I had supposedly destroyed the devices. Despite this statement being untrue, the company's declaration led to the dismissal of my case, causing me both financial and emotional distress.
I demand a full refund of the 6,200 TRY paid for these defective products and insist that the false statement submitted against me be formally corrected. I request that my grievance be resolved without further delay.
