Freecash Account Suspended After ID Verification, Withdrawal Blocked

53

On the Freecash platform I have a balance of 299.74 USD that I earned through their tasks, but I am being prevented from withdrawing it. I had previously used the site without any issues and my payouts were credited normally. The problem only started after I uploaded my ID for verification. My account username does not match the legal name on my ID because I am a transgender person and I do not use my legal name in everyday life. There were no clear instructions on Freecash stating that I had to link my legal name to my account when I registered or before I requested a withdrawal. Once I submitted my ID, my account was suddenly suspended and my withdrawal refused, even though the money had already been earned and credited. When I contacted support, they replied that my account restriction would remain in place and that their “fraud-prevention processes identified activity that is not in line with our Terms of Service.” They refused to explain what exactly was allegedly wrong and said they could not share the specific signals behind the restriction. Before the ID upload, I had no problems with my account and no indication of any “fraud” or rule violation, which is why I believe my account has been unfairly restricted due to the mismatch between my everyday name and my legal name and because I am trans. I request that the full amount of 299.74 USD be paid out to my PayPal account without further delay and that this restriction, which I find unfair and discriminatory, be reviewed and removed. I also ask Freecash to clearly communicate any name and verification requirements in advance so that other LGBTQ+ users do not face the same situation.

Freecash is still refusing to allow me any communication with them. Sending me the same automated "this matter is resolved" response. I never got to talk to a person, my review was done in two minutes, my withdrawals put on hold, and my account suspended the next day. This is very wrong, and I'm honestly disturbed by how easy it is for companies these days to discriminate against trans people and see no repercussions or be asked to repay the damage they do. This entire situation has reinforced the idea that eats away at my mind that I'll never be real, that I don't matter, because no one has to respect me in even the most basic of ways. So thanks Freecash. For being yet another company that hates trans people.
