Farmasi Sold Me a Cosmetic With an Unclear Expiration Date
I purchased the Farmasi Stick Contour Wink through the Farmasi app for delivery to my address in Ümraniye, Istanbul. My order number is TR-22110767, and I paid $9 for the product. When it arrived, I noticed the marking "08/25" printed on the bottom of the packaging, which immediately raised serious concerns.
Under cosmetic labeling requirements and consumer protection standards, it is the seller's responsibility to ensure that any date printed on a product is clear and unambiguous. The "08/25" marking reasonably appears to be an expiration date from a consumer's perspective. If it actually represents the manufacturing date, then the expiration date should also be clearly stated on the packaging, but no such information is provided. If "08/25" is the expiration date, then the product appears to have already expired. In either case, the unclear date labeling makes the product defective because consumers cannot determine whether it is safe to use.
Since this is a cosmetic product applied directly to the skin, I am not willing to risk my skin health by using a product with unclear or questionable date information.
The same day I received the product, I submitted a support request through the Farmasi app and included photographs of the packaging. I also contacted Farmasi through WhatsApp and was passed between two different representatives before being referred to the website, but I never received a clear explanation or solution. When I asked the sponsor listed on my account, I was simply told that the date represented the manufacturing date, without any supporting documentation or convincing technical explanation.
At this point, I am not requesting a refund. Instead, I request that Farmasi send me a replacement product free of charge with a clearly labeled and current expiration date that leaves no room for confusion. If this matter is not resolved, I intend to pursue my legal rights through the appropriate consumer dispute resolution process using my invoice and photographs of the product. I respectfully ask Farmasi to resolve this issue promptly and permanently.
