WhatsApp Investment Scam: ₹1000 Lost Via FamPay

I am writing to report a fraud that occurred through the WhatsApp number +91 96942 26***, related to an alleged investment opportunity. I live in Daman, Gujarat, India, and on Sunday, 3 May 2026 I was contacted about an investment where I was told I could earn up to ₹4,500 within 35–45 minutes by investing up to ₹1,000. I was clearly told that I did not have to do anything except wait for the profit to be credited. Trusting these promises, I transferred ₹1,000 using Fampay on the same day. After receiving the money, the person did not provide any profit or refund. When I asked for my money back and warned that I would take legal action, he briefly responded and told me to wait, saying he would return the profit. However, after some time he stopped responding, did not answer my calls, and later blocked me on WhatsApp. I have not received any profit or refund of my ₹1,000. I have saved the Fampay transaction details and screenshots of the payment, as well as screenshots of the WhatsApp chat and call attempts, and I am ready to share them as evidence if needed. Through this complaint, I request a full refund of ₹1,000 that I paid in reliance on the false promises made from the WhatsApp number +91 96942 26*** and I also request that necessary action be taken against this number to prevent similar frauds against others.
