Expedia Cancels $1,254 Pegasos World Booking via WhatsApp One Day Before Check-In
On May 6, 2026, I booked a family room for 3 adults and 1 child at the Pegasos World Hotel via Expedia and executed a wire transfer/EFT of $1,254 through bpn Ödeme ve Elektronik Para Hizmetleri A.Ş. under reservation number 5079****58. We made all of our vacation plans according to this booking.
On August 23, just one day prior to our trip, I received a WhatsApp message informing me that my reservation had been canceled. There was no cancellation request initiated on my end, nor was my consent obtained prior to this cancellation. Subsequently, in WhatsApp exchanges, they asked for my IBAN and banking details, stating that a refund would be issued, and a generic notification message regarding bulk booking cancellations and refunds was also sent by Holipedia gbv.
I suffered severe hardship as a result of a fully paid reservation being canceled at the last minute and brushed off with mere generic WhatsApp updates and IBAN requests. I demand an immediate, full refund of my $1,254 payment without delay, alongside a clear written explanation detailing the justification for the cancellation and the exact refund timeline.
