Last summer, I purchased the Electrolux EXP34U339HW portable air conditioner, trusting its 12,000 BTU capacity to cool my 24 m² room. Unfortunately, the product failed to meet my expectations. It couldn’t cool the room sufficiently and was far from “silent” as advertised—it runs quite loudly. The first device was replaced, but the second one exhibited the exact same issues. A service technician came to inspect the unit and confirmed the cooling was inadequate. Still, without conducting a proper technical test, they claimed the unit was “functional” and tried to take it back. Despite reaching out to Electrolux Turkey multiple times, I haven’t been offered a lasting solution. This product may lead to serious disappointment for potential buyers. Findings – Cooling failure: Couldn’t approach target temperature despite 12,000 BTU rating – Model-wide issue: Both units had the same performance failure – Misleading silence claim: Device runs quite loud – Service response: Cooling issue observed, but no detailed testing performed – No user error: Setup, insulation, and usage were all properly executed 3. Conclusion This model demonstrates recurring technical shortcomings and does not deliver on its advertised promises. The same issue occurring across two separate units indicates a systematic design or manufacturing defect. The product should be considered a “defective good” under consumer protection laws, and a suitable resolution is warranted.
