eDreams Charged 23€ for Name Correction on My Aegean Airlines Ticket

September 18, 2025 12:01 PM291

On September 25, 2025, I purchased a ticket for an Aegean Airlines flight through eDreams. However, I noticed that my name was entered incorrectly on the booking. When I contacted eDreams to have the error corrected, I was told I would need to pay an additional 23€ fee for the name change.

The customer service agent insisted that the mistake was not their fault, claiming the error happened due to “pronunciation” and that an extra letter was added during the booking process. I strongly disagree, as flight tickets are written and confirmed in text, not based on pronunciation. Regardless of how the mistake occurred, I believe a company of this size should take responsibility for correcting such issues without charging extra fees.

I have never faced a similar issue before, and I have not made any extra payment yet. I am requesting that eDreams correct the name on my ticket free of charge and ensure that customers are not unfairly charged for such minor corrections.
