Dyson V12 Vacuum Cleaner Motor Failure
Our Dyson V12 upright vacuum cleaner has had a motor failure for three years. Despite following Dyson's regular cleaning procedures, the vacuum would automatically shut off after 2-3 seconds of operation, and we had to repeat this process 8-10 times to get it to work. When we contacted Dyson customer service about the issue, they informed us that the motor needed to be replaced at a cost of ₺5600. After researching online, we found that many others experienced the same problem. Although we raised objections, believing this was not a user error but a manufacturing defect caused by Dyson, the company did not accept it. While we have used other vacuum cleaners purchased at much lower prices for years without any issues, it is concerning that a Dyson upright vacuum cleaner, bought for a significant amount of money, breaks down within 2-3 years and that Dyson does not stand behind its product. This situation is worth reconsidering when choosing a vacuum cleaner.
Dear Customer, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. Your satisfaction is very important to us. You can be sure that we will handle the issue with care. Our solution center representative will contact you as soon as possible to provide support. Sincerely, Dyson Turkey
Your solution center representative contacted us and stated that they would provide support for a fee, as previously communicated by your other representatives regarding the problem. Unfortunately, nothing has changed. Dyson does not acknowledge this issue experienced by many of its customers and demands a fee for repairs. As they said, we paid the fee, but I don't think we will use a Dyson brand product again.
