Dyson Upright Vacuum Stops During Carpet And Floor Transition

I purchased a Dyson upright vacuum cleaner from the Teknosa store in a shopping mall in Izmir on 28 December 2025. Although I initially used the product without any issues, for about the last month I have been experiencing a recurring malfunction, especially during transitions between hard floor and carpet. When I vacuum the floor and then switch to cleaning the carpet, or clean the carpet and then switch back to the floor, the machine “gets stuck” during this transition, as if the motor cannot adjust itself and stops. A triangle symbol with an exclamation mark appears, or sometimes the icon indicating that the pipes are not properly attached is displayed. I remove and reattach the pipes, and for that moment I am able to continue vacuuming, but the same problem comes back the next day. The triangle with exclamation mark appears again, and I have to turn the device off and on repeatedly. In order to prevent the vacuum from stopping, I sometimes try to vacuum only the carpet and avoid using the floor setting, because the motor does not provide sufficient performance at the carpet–floor transitions. This fault does not occur in a completely predictable way; some days there is no issue at all, sometimes it occurs just as I am about to finish the cleaning, and sometimes it appears right at the beginning and then disappears again. Because of this intermittent problem, I am concerned that if the device is sent to the service center and happens to work normally during their tests, it will be returned to me with “no fault found,” even though I clearly experience this malfunction at home. I called Dyson customer service and they sent me a link and tried to solve the problem through my phone, but since my phone is an old model, the link did not open. They asked me to call again from another phone, but as I do not have any relatives or anyone else in this city whose phone I can use, I could not continue this process and it led to no result. I also called Teknosa; they told me to pack the vacuum cleaner and bring it to the store so they could send it to service. I explained that I do not have the possibility to pack the vacuum and transport it to the store myself. Due to this recurring and unreliable performance of the device and the difficulties I face in accessing service, I request that my Dyson upright vacuum cleaner with invoice number CFK2025000002280 be replaced with a new, fault-free product. Additionally, I kindly ask that the product be collected from my home and that this process be carried out without any charge to me.

Their lack of attention. Saying they called but couldn't get through has shaken my trust in the Dyson brand.
