I used the Dove Bond Intense Repair hair conditioner (170 ml) on Tuesday. After using the product for the first time, even though I rinsed my hair, I experienced severe redness, burning, and itching on my face—especially on my cheeks and cheekbones. I also felt a burning sensation in my throat. Since the reaction didn’t go away, I washed my hair again with my own shampoo, but even now, whenever my hair touches my face, the burning continues. I’ve had to wash my face multiple times throughout the day.
I bought the product from Gratis. There was no warning on the packaging or product description regarding allergy risks. I threw away the receipt out of frustration, so I no longer have it. I haven’t contacted customer service yet; my purpose in sharing this complaint is to warn others with sensitive skin to be cautious. The product is said to be tested, but it’s clear that it wasn’t adequately tested on people with sensitive skin like mine.
