Unauthorized Discord SMS Raises Concerns About Personal Data Misuse

On May 28, 2026, at 5:09 PM, I received a single security/verification code SMS from Discord on my Turkcell phone number ending in 60. Even though I do not have any Discord account registered in my name, receiving such a code on my phone number caused serious concern that my personal information may have been accessed or used without my authorization. At the time I received this SMS, I was located in Isparta, Turkey.
I have never used this phone number with Discord, never transferred the number to anyone else, and have not gone through any number change, carrier transfer, or similar process involving this line. Despite that, I do not accept the possibility that my phone number may have been associated with any Discord account, whether created without my knowledge or linked to someone else. I believe my personal data may have been used without my consent, and I am filing this complaint because of that concern. Furthermore, after receiving this SMS, I did not receive any additional notifications from Discord or any other source indicating that an account had been created or that any activity had taken place.
Because I do not have the Discord application and the Discord website was blocked for security reasons when I attempted to access it through a web browser, I have been unable to open an official support ticket directly with Discord. For that reason, I am forced to submit my complaint through this channel.
I request that, if my phone number exists anywhere within Discord’s systems, it be permanently removed from all accounts and databases. I also request a thorough investigation to determine whether my phone number has been associated with any account, as well as a clear, detailed, and written explanation regarding the status and handling of my personal data. I respectfully ask that this matter be reviewed and that I receive a response as soon as possible.
