Cybex Refuses Technical Inspection on Defective Eezy Stroller Rain Cover

Dear Authorities,
On April 29, 2023, we purchased a rain cover for our Cybex Eezy stroller, which has now suffered severe deterioration, as clearly shown in the attached photos. We used the product very sparingly and always stored it in a dark, dry, and moisture-free environment when not in use. Despite this, the transparent plastic section has clouded over, hardened, and degraded to the point where it can no longer be used properly.
We noticed this condition when we attempted to use the product again following a two-month break. Considering how rarely we used it and how properly it was stored, we believe this level of damage does not stem from normal wear and tear. It is completely unacceptable for baby accessories to break down and lose functionality so quickly under such limited use and proper storage conditions.
In their response to us, Cybex stated that they could not offer any inspection or support under warranty because the item was sold as an accessory and more than three years have passed since the purchase date. However, our request is not merely a warranty replacement. We primarily demand a technical inspection of the product and a clear explanation for the cause of this degradation, as we strongly believe this issue stems from a material or manufacturing defect rather than user error.
The expiration of the warranty period does not justify outright rejecting our request without conducting any technical evaluation. Experiencing this degree of breakdown in a product that was used very rarely and stored under ideal conditions raises valid doubts about whether it meets expected durability and quality standards.
I demand a detailed inspection of the product, a written and transparent explanation regarding the cause of the damage, and either a free replacement of the rain cover or a reasonable solution if a material or manufacturing defect is found. Otherwise, please be advised that I will exercise my legal rights and escalate this matter to the relevant authorities due to the product failing to meet reasonable durability and lifespan expectations.
