2023 Cupra Formentor Transmission Fails Right After Purchase from Dealership

On July 31, 2026, I purchased a 2023 Cupra Formentor from Ar-em Auto Galeri located in Esenyurt, Istanbul. We completed a vehicle trade-in, and I also transferred $4,500 (170,000 TL) to the bank account of K****** O******, the gallery owner who is also a police officer. The car was sold to me with the explicit assurance that it included premium options, specifically matrix headlights and a Beats audio system. However, while driving the vehicle to Van, I discovered not only that these options were missing, but also that the car threw a transmission fault error.

When I contacted them regarding the transmission failure, they made no effort to find a genuine solution, offering merely $1,300 as a goodwill gesture. However, according to information from an authorized service center, the estimated repair and servicing cost ranges between $9,300 and $13,200. I am experiencing severe hardship because the promised options are missing and they refuse to take responsibility for a costly transmission failure that surfaced immediately after delivery.

I demand that all necessary transmission and mechanical repairs be fully performed at an authorized service center under warranty conditions, and that all associated expenses be covered in full by Ar-em Auto Galeri.
