My Camera Installation Request Was Rejected by Citroen

My request for a dashcam installation for my Citroen was rejected by authorized service centers in Avek Başakşehir, General, Mepa, Bayrampaşa, and Nev, on the grounds that I did not purchase the product from the service center. Furthermore, I was informed that having the installation done externally would void my vehicle's warranty. This occurred on September 23, 2025, while my vehicle was under warranty. Your service centers' approach of "we cannot provide service because you did not purchase the product from us" and their threat of warranty voiding violate the Consumer Protection Law (Law No. 6502) and the prohibition of unfair terms. The warranty only covers essential vehicle parts and manufacturing defects; it is illegal to void the warranty due to hardware that does not interfere with the vehicle's system. Furthermore, this approach is anti-customer, falling under the prohibition of unfair competition and forced sales (tied sales). For these reasons, I request a written and legally supported explanation of your refusal to install the dashcam and your threat of warranty voiding. I also request that the dashcam installation service be provided and the warranty coverage be maintained. I hereby inform you that your practice must be investigated by Citroen Türkiye's General Directorate. Otherwise, I will refer the matter to the Consumer Arbitration Committee, the Ministry of Trade, the Competition Authority, and the judicial authorities. I expect your brand's practice, which disregards customer safety and satisfaction to such an extent, to be corrected immediately.
