Citroen C4X Taillight Cracks: Clear Manufacturing Defect





I bought a c4x model vehicle from the Citroen Ercan dealer in Elazığ province in 2024. The vehicle is currently 6500 km. While there was no external factor such as an accident, impact, friction, force, forcing, hitting, etc. in the vehicle, hairline cracks formed internally in the rear two taillights as seen in the images. Yes, incredibly, hairline cracks formed inside the taillights of the vehicle. The vehicle was washed only with a sponge. When this situation was observed, the vehicle was taken to the Elazığ Ercan Citroen authorized service. The situation was observed by the authorized service, photos were taken and reported to the headquarters. Instead of the headquarters recalling the vehicle and understanding the problem in the rear taillights, the so-called field manager looked at it, evaluated it and made the final decision, and dismissed it by stating that this situation was due to external factors. I have not experienced such frivolity in dozens of vehicle brands that I have used for years. This frivolous attitude is an indication of the value the brand gives to its own brand and to the customer. This approach of a big company that should be focused on customer satisfaction is thought-provoking for consumers. I stated that the internal cracking of the taillights of the vehicle was due to a manufacturing defect and waited patiently for the process. The manufacturing defect cannot be dismissed by saying that we have made a final decision and cannot be offered to the customer as a solution. No technical work has been done on the situation in the headlight. No report can even be presented on the situation in the headlight. There should be an embarrassment in the brand due to the manufacturing defect. This is what is expected. The lack of solution, frivolity, and tragicomic approach far from customer satisfaction presented to the customer offended me more as a consumer. The company's escape policy has also been determined in the event of a problem that may occur under warranty in the future. I demand the replacement of the taillights urgently. Otherwise, I will seek my rights through legal means. Citroen, protect your brand and consumers!
