In July 2023, our entire family purchased four Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Luxury package vehicles from the Bursa/Gönye dealership for personal use. On 10/18/2024, the airbag warning light in my vehicle turned on. Due to this issue, I took my car to the Bursa/Nilüfer Gönye service center on 10/21/2024. After necessary inspections, the technician at the dealership stated that there was a problem with the airbag wiring harness installed during production, that there were joints in the harness, and therefore, the entire harness needed to be replaced. Following this, Ms. S*** from the dealership informed me that they had received the necessary approvals from Chery Turkey to replace it under warranty.
Upon reviewing the warranty booklet that came with the vehicle, I noticed on pages 13 and 14 that, according to the information provided, my vehicle falls into the category of a defective product. I, therefore, refused the repair and requested a replacement for my vehicle (the reason I refused the repair is that this record will appear in the service history, causing a depreciation if I wish to sell the car). On 10/21/2024, I called Chery Turkey’s hotline at 0850 480 7472 to log my request, yet I received no response. Today, Ms. S***, the Gönye Authorized Service Manager, informed me that Chery Turkey rejected my replacement request, but Chery Turkey has yet to contact me directly.
To date, I've influenced at least 10 other people to purchase Chery vehicles aside from my own. However, I’ve come to realize that choosing Chery was a regretful decision. Going forward, I have no choice but to resolve this issue legally. Rest assured, I will influence at least 10 times as many people to avoid Chery as I initially convinced to buy one.
