Caribou Coffee Coffee Lids Were Not Properly Checked and Caused Coffee to Spill on Us
At around 1:15 p.m. on September 9, I purchased filter coffee with a friend from the Caribou Coffee location at Maltepe Park. Although the lids on the coffee cups were visibly misaligned, the cups were handed to us without being properly checked. As a result, the coffee spilled all over us, completely staining our clothes.
We immediately reported the incident to the store manager, O***. However, instead of offering a solution, apologizing, or attempting to calm the situation, he continued arguing with us and insisting that he had done his job properly. In front of other customers, rather than apologizing or showing any concern for what had happened, he spoke to us in a disturbing and disrespectful manner and focused solely on defending himself. He took no meaningful action to address or compensate for the inconvenience and damage we experienced.
Given that the coffee cup lids were not properly checked before the drinks were handed to us, and that our resulting inconvenience was not taken seriously, I request that the security camera footage be reviewed, particularly regarding the conduct of the store manager, O***, and that the necessary warnings and disciplinary action be taken if appropriate.
I also request reimbursement for the cost of the clothing that was damaged by the spilled coffee. In addition, I would like the written statement or formal response of the relevant manager regarding this incident to be provided to me.
