Bybit Has Delayed My KYC for 25 Days—Still Can’t Trade
I hadn’t used crypto in a while, and I wasn’t aware that a new regulation now requires users to verify their identity again. Without knowing this, I deposited money into my Bybit account. When I later tried to make a purchase, the system prompted me for KYC verification. That was fine—I followed the steps, submitted my ID with a live photo as requested, and they told me the verification would be completed within 3 days.
Well, it’s now Day 25 and my identity still hasn’t been verified.
In other exchanges, I’ve never seen this process take more than a few hours—1 day at most. I reached out to live support multiple times, and they keep telling me it’s “in progress” and that they’ve notified the team to expedite it. I even emailed the team directly (they promised a response within 48 hours), but I’ve heard nothing back. No email, no update.
Meanwhile, because the verification isn’t complete, I can’t buy, sell, or withdraw any of my funds. I’m down nearly $4 due to market movement during this ridiculous delay. I’ve decided I don’t want to use Bybit anymore—just give me my money back so I can close my account.
No one should be left in limbo for almost a month just waiting on an ID check. If there’s an issue with my application, at least communicate that to me. Otherwise, stop wasting my time and approve it already.
