Busuu Billed Me for a Premium Subscription I Didn't Approve
I recently discovered that a Busuu Plus Premium subscription had been activated without my knowledge or consent and that the charges were being billed through my Türk Telekom postpaid mobile account. After noticing a $5 charge on my May 28, 2026 phone bill, I reviewed my previous statements and found that similar charges of approximately $1 per month had also appeared on my bills for two to three months in prior years. Because my phone bill is paid automatically, I did not notice these charges at the time. I also never received any SMS notification informing me that this subscription had been activated.
As soon as I discovered the issue, I canceled my Busuu Plus Premium subscription through Google Play. I then contacted Busuu by email to report the unauthorized charges, but I have not received any response. I was also unable to reach customer service because it was outside business hours. Afterward, I tried to log in to my Busuu account but realized I had forgotten my password. Although the password reset page stated that a reset link had been sent by email or SMS, I never received either one and still cannot access my account.
I request a full refund of all unauthorized subscription charges that have been billed to my mobile account, the permanent cancellation of my Busuu Plus Premium subscription, and the assistance necessary to restore access to my Busuu account as soon as possible.
