BMW iX Drive 40 Steering Box Failure Happened Twice While Still Under Warranty
We purchased a 2022 model BMW iX Drive 40 in May 2023. After 9 months, the steering wheel locked and displayed warning messages, leading to the complete replacement of the steering box. This issue not only caused inconvenience but also raised serious concerns about the reliability of the vehicle. Six months before the warranty expiration, the steering wheel issued another warning, and BMW decided to replace the steering box again. It is frustrating that a premium vehicle from such a reputable brand experiences repeated failures. The vehicle has broken down twice while still under warranty, leaving us uncertain about what might happen after the warranty period ends. I am deeply dissatisfied with this model and expect BMW to provide a solution to address this issue.
