New to trading, I chose to try Autotrader based on a great recommendation. Only high quality cars, in great condition, complete dealer service history, balance of the manufacturer's warranty, and always priced reasonably; I take great pride in the cars I sell. I honestly thought I should get some results. But after a complete year of advertising on Autotrader, I have not sold one car using their system. Not just one. Though I kept hopeful things would improve, really it has been a complete waste of money and effort. Through less work and expense, I have achieved better luck via alternative avenues. Quite letdown, particularly given I assumed this was the standard venue for auto sales. Clearly changing where I allocate my marketing budget going forward.
