My Asics Shoes Tore in 5 Months and They Refused to Honor the Warranty

29

I bought a pair of Asics shoes, trusting the brand name and paying a premium (₺) for what I thought would be reliable quality. But less than 5 months later, the mesh upper started tearing, and the inner lining popped out—something I’d expect from a street vendor, not a global sportswear brand.

I didn’t misuse the shoes or subject them to extreme conditions. This kind of wear shouldn't happen with normal use. And yet, when I tried to submit a warranty claim, it was flat-out rejected. Apparently, the burden is always on the customer to prove they're not at fault—even when the product quite literally falls apart on its own.

What exactly qualifies for warranty coverage then? Because if this kind of defect isn’t enough, I don’t know what is. From what I’ve seen in other complaints, I’m not alone. It seems Asics is consistently failing to support customers with legitimate quality issues.
