My Asics Shoes Tore and Caused a Callus After Just 6 Uses, but Claim Was Denied
I purchased a pair of Asics shoes on May 31, 2025, and after only 5–6 light indoor uses, the insole tore and the shoe began causing a painful callus on my foot. These shoes were never worn outside—only in the gym—so there is no justification for this kind of damage after such minimal use.
I took the shoes to the Hilltown Asics store a month later and left them for inspection. When I called a week after that, they informed me the damage was “not due to a manufacturing defect” and that nothing would be done. This is incredibly disappointing.
It’s absolutely unreasonable for a premium shoe to break down this quickly and harm the user’s foot, especially when it’s only been used a handful of times under mild conditions.
Asics, I’m demanding that you take this issue seriously. The shoes clearly have a quality or design flaw, and I expect either a replacement or a refund. Denying responsibility after such limited use only damages trust in your brand. Please do what’s right and resolve this matter immediately.
