On 16/03/2025, I purchased the Asics Gel-Resolution 9 shoes at the Adana Clothing Fair (receipt no: 135). From the very first time I wore them, I experienced swelling and pain on the right side of my right ankle. I tried wearing them a few more times, hoping the discomfort would go away, but instead the pain worsened. I consulted a doctor, who confirmed that the swelling was caused by the shoes. Despite medication, the pain did not subside, and my doctor advised me not to wear them anymore.
Following this, I contacted the Asics customer service hotline. They informed me that I would need to physically visit a store in İzmir, Ankara, or Istanbul to start an inspection process. I delivered the shoes to the Asics Hilltown İzmir store, and they were taken in for examination. To my disappointment, the inspection report stated that “no defect was found in the product,” and my request for a refund or exchange was rejected. While the shoes may have no technical defect on their own, they caused me a medical problem, which means they are unsuitable for me and left me with unnecessary pain and frustration.
I only wore these shoes three times in total, and Asics customer service had initially told me that the product comes with a two-year warranty. Under these circumstances, I believe it is fair to request either a full refund or at least an exchange for another Asics product that does not cause me harm. I expect Asics to stand behind their products and provide a quick solution to resolve this issue.
