On October 7, 2025, I purchased the Asics GEL-Trabuco 13 GTX model shoes from the Asics Hilltown store, paying $283. After only about one month and 10 days of use, small holes developed on the inner ankle areas of both shoes, even though there was no unusual strain or excessive use. I bought these shoes specifically for harsh winter conditions, and they are not something I wear constantly. I wear them for about 10 minutes while walking to work in the morning and another 10 minutes walking home in the evening. This issue occurred during these short, routine walks.

When the problem appeared, I went back to the Hilltown Asics store and explained the situation. The product was sent for inspection under repair form number 1-29888, and I was told I would be notified by phone whether the result was positive or negative. After about 25 days passed without any call, I contacted the store myself and learned that the shoes had arrived, that I had supposedly been sent a message, and that the claim had been denied. When I called the authorized company, I explained that I had been told I would receive a phone call and that no mention of a text message had been made. I also expressed my dissatisfaction with both the product quality and the outcome. Customer service then advised me to start another inspection request through the store.

I returned to the Hilltown store, and a second inspection was initiated under repair form number 1-30683. Once again, I was told I would receive a phone call, but instead, I only received a text message stating that the shoes were not covered under warranty. When I went to the store, I noticed that documents to be sent to the company had been stapled to the shoe box, and I believe additional small defects were caused by these staples.

In summary, I encountered this issue after only brief and completely normal use, without even having the chance to properly wear the shoes. For the $283 I paid, I feel disappointed and, frankly, embarrassed by both the product quality and the way the process was handled. I am requesting a replacement of the product, or if that is not possible, a full refund. I expect the company to stand behind its product and to clearly resolve the hardship I have experienced.
