About 4 years ago, I purchased the Arçelik - Beko 3883 KT dryer, and its drum broke due to what I believe is a manufacturing defect. The metal drum rotates with the help of a belt and a motor. To clarify: the issue is not with the belt, the motor, or any electrical component—it is specifically the drum itself, the main tub, that has broken. Believing this to be a manufacturing defect, I requested a free replacement for the drum. The technician was surprised by the situation but couldn’t provide a definitive response. He didn’t say, “You’re right,” but acknowledged that he wasn’t an expert, only a technician. However, he stated that the replacement could be done for a fee and quoted a price of ₺5100. It’s worth noting that no proper fault diagnosis was performed—only a visual inspection of the issue. Despite this, they requested a ₺500 service fee, which I refused to pay as no proper diagnosis had been conducted. This entire experience has left me extremely disappointed with Arçelik.
