Apple Quoted $1,150 Repair Fee for a Scratch-Free iPhone 16 Pro Max

My iPhone 16 Pro Max, which is still under warranty, was sent to the Apple Repair Center through the Troy (Apple Premium Partner) store at Marmara Park Beylikdüzü about a week ago. Today, I received my device back without any repair being performed.
Despite the fact that my phone has not a single scratch visible from the outside, has never been dropped, and is in perfect cosmetic condition, I was informed that a repair fee of $1,150 was required due to alleged “housing/frame/headband damage.”
Although this alleged damage was classified as user-related, I was never asked any questions during the process, nor was I given any technical explanation, photos, inspection report, or evidence to support this claim. The message I received from Apple only included the price and a generic reason, without clearly explaining what exactly was found on the device, why this amount was charged, or how this was determined to be user damage.
I do not find it acceptable for such a high repair fee to be demanded for a product that should be covered under warranty without any concrete technical explanation or transparent communication. Apple has long marketed its products based on durability, quality, and a premium user experience. Despite this, charging such a high fee for a device that appears flawless from the outside and has not suffered any impact feels lacking in transparency and contrary to consumer rights.
I request from Apple and the authorized service provider Troy a clear, detailed, and written explanation of what the alleged damage is, which technical findings it is based on, and why it was considered outside the scope of warranty. I also request that my device be re-examined with my warranty rights fully taken into account and that my grievance be resolved.
