Apple AirPods 2nd Generation Headset Microphone is Broken

I have a pair of AirPods from the second generation that works great for listening to music. But I haven't been able to use the microphone for about 7-8 months because it doesn't make any sound on the other end. Before my warranty ran out in August 2022, I took my AirPods to Aqua Florya - Troy. They said it was a software problem and fixed it. But they warned me that the problem could come up again, which it did. Now I don't have a warranty, and I can't use my headset because of something I didn't do. I'm sad that Apple doesn't stand behind its products. Even though I took my AirPods to an authorized service provider before the warranty ran out, the problem came back, and now the company won't help me.
